  3. This filter (and its reciprocal twin, Polar to Rectangular) has its roots in Photoshop.   It converts your artwork into polar coordinates (that is, being specified by an angle and some distance from a center).

  5. The effect you get will depend, of course, on your artwork.   Generally, this effect will fan your artwork out in an arcing fashion.   Experiment!
